BROWN BAG LUNCH: Retired Saratoga Springs Police Chief and author Greg Veitch presents stories of Saratoga’s nefarious past from his latest book, A Gangster’s Paradise: Saratoga Springs from Prohibition to Kefauver at noon on Thursday, Dec. 12 in the Saratoga Springs Public Library’s H. Dutcher Community Room. Greg will share stories of rumrunners, Prohibition raids, gangsters, murder and corruption that all led to Saratoga becoming a true “Gangster’s Paradise,” and the investigations that brought it all to an end. Please note: Due to increasing attendance and limited space, the Brown Bag Lunches will now require tickets. Free tickets will be available at both the Saratoga Springs Public Library’s Information Desk and at the Saratoga Springs Visitor Center.
